Cyprus: A Photo Diary - Part 4

Reflections in a shop window. I love the clarity...

Wish the UK saw this kind of golden sunlight...

The last of the sun illuminating the clouds above the harbour.

Downtown Paphos.

Man photographing the sunset.

Brother's blistered feet on the bus home.

View of the hotel from the surrounding no-man's-land, early next morning.

 Hayley on the beach.

 Dad reading.

Couple photographing themselves. Maybe I should have offered to take it for them, but I was too busy taking my own!

Boy on the loungers.

Cyprus: A Photo Diary - Part 3

From our room. The day began a little cloudy.

Strangers on the bus. Before long, there was a downpour outside.

Wet streets.

Shop window on the walk down to the harbour.

Brother messing at the waters edge.

 Hayley by the sea.

Impatient couple waiting to book a boat trip.

Hayley in the wind.

Man watching the sun setting beyond the clouds.

The last of the golden sun illuminating an otherwise dull street.

Cyprus: A Photo Diary - Part 2

Strangers playing volleyball by the seafront.

Hotel guests sunbathing.

Man struggling to operate his camera.

The airport was situated not so far from our hotel.

Girls at the Oriental bar.

The clouds meant the heat was actually bearable.

 Family fishing on the jetty.
 Eating by the pool.

Dad checking the drinks menu in the lobby.

Everything you see here besides the arches at the top are a reflection in the bar window.

View from the hotel corridor as the sun retreats.

Cyprus: A Photo Diary - Part 1

I documented the most part of our recent trip to Cyprus. It's going to be coming in installments over the next few days - enjoy.

Dad checking over the marital documents in the car.

Waiting in the Exec. lounge.

A passing shot of the airfield and passengers. On the way to check in.

In the clouds.

England.

Picked up a fashion and photography magazine for the first time ever. Some reading for the plane.

Mountains. I didn't catch their name.

And from afar. The sky up there is wonderful.

Stepping out onto the balcony for the first time. The view from our room of Aphrodite Avenue. The fields across the road are where I went on to shoot Roxanne.

The sky before bedtime. We arrived late and everybody is tired. The first night is over.

Cyprus Shoot #2

This is the second model from my time in Cyprus - Roxanne. She is originally from the Caribbean, now studying in Holland but currently in Cyprus for a few months on a gap year. She was working at one of the hotel's many bars, and as we were making the most of the free drinks, she was impossible to miss!
With the first shoot (with lifeguard Emil) complete, I approached Roxanne one evening when the bar was emptying out. Luckily, like Emil, she was also happy to shoot with me.
I called at her room the next day to discuss with her the clothes I wanted her to bring, and where we would be shooting. I'd just been for a walk around the no man's land surrounding out hotel, in search of a great location.
On the day we'd arranged, she had a few hours break between a split shift. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was probably the nicest day weather-wise that we were there - bearing in mind it was October so some days it was pretty cloudy!
Roxanne was not only a pleasure to work with, but (I hope you'll agree) also a great model.
