Emily: Shoot number 5

Apologies for the lack of posting lately. I've got a number of posts coming up to catch up on shoots I've not posted blogs about.

This is Emily Lightfoot. We have shot 4 times before but the pictures from this shoot are consistently my favourite we've done. There is an industrial estate not too far out, which houses probably every type of motor vehicle you can think of. I've been meaning to use it for over a year.

I'd like to thank the kind gentleman at Weedy for letting us use his personal vehicle collection for this. It is times like coming into contact with generous people such as he that I am grateful for living on the Isle of Man.

And the photo below is one from our last shoot back in August 2010. I've been re-editing some old images lately.

The rain shoot that never was

Last Sunday it was torrentially raining and I took it as the opportunity to finally do the rain shoot I've been dying to do for months. I messaged Chloe and within the hour we were on our way to the shoot, but by the time we got there it had stopped raining, the clouds cleared away and the sun was out in full force. So the rain shoot will have to wait and instead we just made use of what we had.

I first shot Chloe almost 2 years ago, so this was long overdue! She is beautiful.

I'm also now on Tumblr, where I will be uploading some of best/favourite pictures, as well as my latest and perhaps even some that I've never uploaded before.

Morgan

The first time I shot Morgan - over a year ago - it was a complete disaster. I've deleted the images from the entirety of the internet, I hate them that much. My idea just didn't work out and the composition was a mess. So it was really important to me to redeem myself this time around.

This girl is amazing. She's not conventionally 'pretty' but that's exactly why she is so great. She just fits the part even when she's not trying, and is actually quite inspiring to shoot. I could have gone on all day had the light allowed us.

We shot this on the beach during sunset, the evening before she left to return to Ohio.

My personal favourite, below, by far.

'worried about things to come'
